When taking camshafts out of the head this kit is used to correctly install the variable Inlet camshaft back in the cylinder head.

For removal and installation of the Valvetronic tension springs.This BMW engine tool is vital when removing and installing the loaded spring clips on the rocker gear on the camshaft.

Before removing the spring, fix the BMW N42 and N46 Spring Removal and Installation Pliers on the position plate and loosen the bolt.
Open the BMW N42 and N46 Spring Removal and Installation Pliers carefully, unload the spring and take it off.
Close the BMW N42 and N46 Spring Removal and Installation Pliers to tighten the spring while installing it.
Match the bolt to hole, and lock.

Especially suitable on BENZ V6 Engine and BMW V8 Engine. May not work on some S63 engines due to the lower sitting engine.
