SRS / AIRBAG SUBSTITUTE LOAD TOOL

This tool is used as an airbag or seat belt pre- tensioner load substitute to assist in the diagnosis of SRS / Airbag system faults.

For example,  a possible open circuit in the drivers air bag could be due to a wiring harness fault, a rotary coupler, a clock spring fault, the air bag itself, or possibly the control unit.
Probing around with a multimeter may not be the wisest move for the average technician, even on a dead circuit, and a static discharge could make for a dangerous situation.

The tool has been designed to perfectly mate with the harness plug at the suspect unit. The 1mm gold plated pins will not damage the harness connector and will allow you to drag test the connector pins. The load substitute can allow you to systematically and safely trace the fault just using the scan tool and some common sense.
